C.J.R. Isely discovered a love for writing at a young age. As a fourth generation author, she plunged head-first into adventures and worlds with vivid characters.
Her love for Medieval History drove her to explore the fantasy realm of writing and, by the age of twelve, she had penned her first full chapter book in Ranger of Kings.
After this, she went on to complete the six book William of Alamore series before the age of eighteen. However, rather than continuing to write after this, she pursued and achieved her degree from Kansas State University before realizing how much she missed crafting tales of friendship, bravery, and adventure.
So, 12 years after completing her first full-length novel, Isely returned to writing by rewriting, revising, and releasing the full William of Alamore series. Since the final book, Blood of the Crown, was published in 2024, she has gone on to write two stand alone Alamore books, as well as released the start of another Alamore series--The Crown and Cloak Chronicles.
Now, Isely lives in a remote small town of Kansas with her fiance, their five dogs, an assortment of livestock, and her writing dreams. She and her fiance expect to welcome their first child in 2026
